Machine Tool Technology Program

What will I learn?

The Machine Tool Technology Program provides initial training to students on manufacturing technology, including manual mills and lathes. Students will learn to read a blue print, apply relevant mathematical formulas, and use precision measuring tools. They will learn safety around machinery in an industrial environment as well as how to solve common machining problems.  

 

Credit Diploma

The Machine Tool Technology Credit Diploma prepares students for skilled positions as an entry-level manual machinist after one semester of courses. Students gain the foundational knowledge and skills necessary to operate a variety of machine tools to be able to produce parts to meet specifications. This program provides training for entry-level employment in a manual machining environment.
